WATER DISINFECTION
SUBSTANCES

The substances most often used to disinfect drinking water are CHLORINE and CHLORINE DIOXIDE, and methods including OZONE TREATMENT and ULTRA VIOLET irradiation.

The main requirements of disinfection:It should be very efficient even in small quantities and should be able to destroy microorganisms.Its effect should be long-term, but at least until the drinking water reaches the consumer.Do not form any by-products that negatively affect the quality of the water, the enjoyment of its consumption and the applied procedure should not be harmful to health.Disinfection using chlorine and chlorine dioxide is also the cheapest solution, however, it does not completely meet any of the above conditions.

NON-CHLORINE BASED, ALTERNATIVE DRINKING WATER DISINFECTION

The procedure we developed meets all expectations!

The characteristics of the disinfectant we use:✓ Not harmful to health.
✓ Forms a water-insoluble precipitate with the hydrochloric acid in the stomach, inactivates and digests.
✓ It leaves the body with waste products during digestion.
✓ It does not increase the nitrite and nitrate content of the treated drinking water.
✓ It does not impart any aftertaste or unpleasant odor to the treated drinking water.
✓ Unlike chlorine, the active ingredient concentrate does not not requires safety equipments during transportation, storage and dosage.
✓ It remains active even in bound form.
✓ The quality of drinking water remains stable from a microbiological and
sensory point of view, also in the case of long-distance transport or subsequent long-term storage.

TEST RESULTS

EXCELLENT RESULTS IN EXTREME CIRCUMSTANCES

The effectiveness of the active ingredient was tested on an extreme water sample which was highly infected as it was filtered surface water.Based on accredited laboratory tests, as result of the treatment, the surface water (puddle) was qualified as drinking water since ALL HETEROTROPH bacteria have been destroyed.A significant number of pathogens belong to the heterotroph group. Based on the test results we are ready to apply and implement the desinfecting process.
